Hello all who check out my photo blog. First off it means a ton to me that all of you have supported the site and stayed up to date with my more often then not unpredictable posting habits. I promise this will change in the new year. I am super excited for the new year as there will be many new and exciting things happening with Aaron Goodis Photography. This was an awesome day! For Tim it was landing a great fish on a skating dry. For me it was pushing through photographic barriers such as weather ( yes it always rains ) and making memorable images. Also spending time on the water with friends is a nice break from dawn trudges to epic vantage points solo. We truly live in paradise! At least my paradise as I actually like the rain!

Spent the other day shooting and fishing with buddy's, working and having a day off on the same day, go figure. The river was high but slowly dropping and clearing a little, lots of chrome Chum showing up during tide shifts. The cool thing was they were actually biting big nasty flies swung on light sink tips. After the bite they would rip out and jump earning the reputation of being the poor mans Steelhead. The photo trick for today was to keep the camera dry as it rained most of the day. Rap that thing up in plastic and shoot through the storm! Real rain coast style!
I shot a ton of photos but the above three were my faves. Enjoy!

 SACRED COAST PHOTO By Aaron Goodis will be making donations from sold work to the The Steelhead Society Of British Columbia in hopes of helping to save wild fish, wild rivers and a wild environment. Every dollar counts!!

 Photo booth at the Nature Exposed Photo show in Harrison Hot Springs, BC. This years show will be in the HHS Hotel in late November, I will post dates as they get confirmed.

Special Edition Photo Cards. Aaron photographs and hand makes the cards in Vancouver. The theme to this set of cards is Fly Fishing and Landscape with a message of conservation towards our Environment. "I believe that show casing our sport and our environment in beautiful pictures may just help in sending the message of conservation."

SACRED COAST PHOTO/Aaron Goodis is donating $1. per card (Cards are $6. each) sold and hoping that who ever buys a box of cards for retail will match that dollar raising each box to a donation of $50

An epic night out at the Banks. It finally feels like summer! Trying out a new tricky filter, it helps to slow shutter speeds down allot! So far loving the effect for these Sacred Coast beach sun set shots.

Some times I think photography like fly fishing can become obsessive. I have been trying desperately at getting a decent shot at Whitecliff Park over in North/West Van. The light still did not go off as I had hoped but at-least the tide was perfect and the ferry interference was low.. I feel I got a great shot but still I need to go back, the light will be there and so will I!
